ABOUT
Jéssica Berdet is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and music producer whose work effortlessly bridges Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) and the rich cultural influences of southern Brazil’s border regions.
She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Tati Portella, Duda Raupp, and Pedro Borghetti.
Her debut album, (in)visível (2018), garnered critical acclaim, earning her a nomination for the Prêmio Açorianos and making her a finalist at the Prêmio Profissionais da Música in the categories of Author and Instrumentalist. She also performed in the 2019 show Com Sotaque do Sul alongside Antonio Villeroy and Paola Kirst.
In Poemagem: A Fina Arte da Composição (2021), Jéssica reinterprets the present through a deeply sensitive lens, weaving together poetry, music, movement, and imagery to explore the essence of feeling and experience. In 2024, she composed the soundtrack for the production Para Onde Voam as Borboletas? and released the documentary Som da Casa.
Her latest project, Som da Casa – Live Session, showcases new songs in an intimate live performance, featuring just her voice and guitar—the cornerstones of her musical identity.
“(...) Jéssica astonishes, revealing her poetic and musical prowess with such mastery that it lays bare those who answer the call of her art. Her artistry, like a passionate and unyielding blade, pierces the soul, grips it by the throat, and plunges it into a sea of purest (in)tranquility.”
